The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Tuckasegee business owner for fraud, embezzlement, obtaining property by false pretense and corporate malfeasance. According to the Herald the investigation began after the man’s business partner contacted the Sheriff’s office. Late last month deputies executed a search warrant at the man’s home and business and seized a number of items including cash registers, computers, digital video recorders and a quantity of cash.
